- According to Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post, the Rockies have signed reliever Manny Corpas to a two year deal with two option years. $8M garunteed, and the deal is worth up to $22M.
- According to Mark Hale of the New York Post, free agent outfielder Shawn Green going to retire. Green retires with a career line of .283/.355/.494 with 328 home runs. He got over 40 HR in three different seasons.
- The latest on the Brian Roberts deal come from Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun. He says this: Both sides remain optimistic that a deal could get done. This deal needs to end. Either complete it, or forget it.
- Freddy Garcia's agent says that the Mets, Yankees, and Red Sox have interest in his client. Garcia was at the Red Sox Spring Training complex yesterday.
- According to Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes, the Royals are starting to get some serious interest in Sammy Sosa. Why not? Get a few fans in the ballpark. I don't know what kind of role model he will be...
