According to The Baltimore Sun's Roch Kubatko, Adam Jones has a degenerative hip condition and that's why the Erik Bedard trade hit a snag. It doesn't sound too bad, but considering that AJ is the centerpiece of this deal, the O's have to be sure that Jones is fine. I hadn't heard anything before about him having a bum hip, but I guess he can join my club now. Still on the Bedard watch...
