Yesterday I noted that Brad Wilkerson was close to signing with the Mariners. Today, Geoff Baker wrote on his blog that the Mariners have a deal with Wilkerson that is ready to be signed as soon as the Erik Bedard trade is finalized. Wilkerson looks like a decent stopgap right fielder for the M's untill Wladimir Balentine is ready to go. I recently heard that Wilkerson wanted a three year deal worth $21M (sorry I don't have a link). He won't get that. My sources tell me that Wilkerson will get somewhere between $2-4M plus incentives. I guess we'll have to wait for the Bedard trade to finish up before this does.
