Around the League: March 8, 2008

Some info about what's gone on today in the MLB.
  • The Nationals renewed Ryan Zimmerman's contract and will pay him $465K in 2008. The Nats still want to sign him long term though. He is eligable for arbitration in 2009.

  • Buster Olney says that the Dodgers would like to trade for someone like Joe Crede, to fill their new hole. Andy LaRoche isn't due back anytime soon, and Normar Garciaparra is questionable with a wrist injury.
